Iphone 13 Pro Release Date and Price
The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are currently pre-ordered (pre-orders opened on Friday, September 17). The announcement was made on 14 September, and shipped on Friday 24 September.
The iPhone 13 Pro is $999/€949/UA$1.699 while the iPhone 13 Pro Max is $1.099/€1.049/UA$1.849.
The costs are 128GB, and correspond to what we saw with the iPhone 12 series last year, except in the UK, where this year they are £50.
While the beginning costs are the same or cheaper, for 1 TB devices the price is extremely expensive.
Ready to purchase the iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max beforehand? The greatest bargains may be seen below:
Iphone 13 Pro Design and Display
The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are provided in graphite, gold, silver or a hue from Sierra Blue. The latter hue is fresh and one of the audacious colours we saw on a Pro iPhone.
The general look and construction is quite similar to the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, including hard ceramic shield protection on the screen and water resistance up to 6 metres. But with some new steel bands around the edges of the handset there are a few modifications.
However, the greatest aesthetic update is a revised notch, which is now 20% smaller. These devices with dimensions of 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.65mm are also significantly thicker than their 7.4mm predecessors and are of a different size, with iPhone 13 Pro Max being 160.8 x 78.1 x 7.65mm.
At 203g for the Pro and 238g for the Pro Max, they are also a little heavier.
On the screen, the iPhone 13 Pro pair boasts a new Super Retina XDR display with a maximum brightness of 1.200 nits, which makes outside lighting up to 25 per cent brighter, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
This is the first time we saw a very fast iPhone refresh rate. It implies that pictures will seem smoother beneath your touch, for example when you browse through feeds or articles in your social network.
The technology of Apple adjusts the frame rate according on what you see on your phone. This is the same technology that we saw on the iPad series before, and many Android phones have this already.
Like its predecessors, the iPhone 13 Pro features a 1170×2532 6.1-inch display while the iPhone 13 Pro Max has a 1284×27786-inch display.
Both phones also support MagSafe, so they will still function here if you have any accessories for it.
Iphone 13 Pro Camera
You get three 12MP cameras with upgraded sensors and lenses on the iPhone 13 Pro pair. A wide-ranging camera with an f/1.5 aperture and 1.9 μm pixels is available, a snapper with an f/1.8 aperture and a field of view of 120 degrees is available, and a telephoto camera with an f/2.8 aperture.
The latter is a 77mm zoom camera with an optical zoom of 3x, a 2-fold optical zoom out and a 6-fold optical zoom, with a digital zoom of up to 15x. A 12MP camera is featured on the front.
Apple says the primary camera on the iPhone 13 Pro is 2.2x better than the iPhone 12 Pro, while the iPhone 13 Pro Max is 1.5x better than the 12 Pro Max. The ultra-wide cameras seem to be 92 percent better in low-light and for the first time on an iPhone macro photography is possible.
Apple also brings ProRes video “later this year” to the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max. This video format, which is already being used by many filmmakers and initially debuted in 2007, allows video shooters to encode quicker and less intensively in applications such as Final Cut Pro.
It also allows you to record 4K/30fps video in ProRes format in the camera app, although not surprisingly if you decide to get a 128GB model – ProRes is 1080p.
Iphone 13 Pro Performance and Specifications
Both the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max utilise the latest A15 Bionic chipset from Apple. It is also the same as the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, although curiously the Pro versions include an additional GPU core (five cores instead of four).
And this processor really sounds quite strong, with Apple boasting a speed of up to 50 percent quicker than any other smartphone, with a neural engine capable of doing up to 15.8 billion transactions per second.
The storage choice includes 128GB, 256GB, 512GB or – with the next iPhone – a 1TB variant.
Iphone 13 Pro Battery Life
Apple says that up to 22 hours of video playback can run for the iPhone 13 Pro Pro, and up to 28 hours for the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
The iPhone 13 Pro is 90 minutes longer than the iPhone 12 Pro, while the iPhone 13 Pro Max seems to take 2,5hours more than the iPhone 12 Pro Max. In fact, according to Apple, the iPhone 13 Pro Max has the greatest battery life ever seen on an iPhone.
However, since Apple did not say, we do not know the exact battery size of these phones. Probably until someone opens one, we won’t find out.
You may juice up to 20 W with wired chargers or 15 W wirelessly. When you have to charge, but no charger is provided in the package.
